Pumpkin & Banana Smoothie

We made some Pumpkin & Chocolate Chip Oat Bars last night and didn't use the whole can of pumpkin. Soooo... I decided to make myself a smoothie with the rest this morning. Little did I know, it would end up being one of the most delicious smoothies i've ever made. I know it's typical for Fall and everyone is sharing pumpkin recipes, but I don't care! You need this in your life!

In our house there is never a bad time of year for soup!  There are soups full of comforting root vegetables for Autumn,  hearty warm-me-up soups for Winter, simple light broth or raw soups for Spring cleansing and then there is this wonderful Mushroom Barely soup that you can have in all four seasons!

There are few people, if asked, who do not have a powerful memory to share that comes from their sense of smell.  The olfactory experience can remind one of a time, a place, a food, an event, and even of a person or animal.  We unconsciously experience the world with our nose even though for most of us we are most reactive to what we see with our eyes.

Bol d’Açai

Ingredients: -1 1/2 frozen banana -1/2 cup frozen blueberries -1 packet of frozen unsweetened Acai puree (found in all health groceries) -1 medjool date -1 tablespoon Justins almond butter -1/4 fresh or frozen avocado -Almond milk to taste (the more you put the more it will be liquid) Instructions: Put everything in a blender. Mix until it is homogeneous. Put in a bowl. Garnish with your favorite fruits, granola and superfoods. For mine (as seen in the photo) I added raw cacao nibs, granola, raspberries, sliced ​​bananas, goji berries and chocolate coconuts. Enjoy!
